Monica Bedi (born 18 January 1975) is an Indian actress, Bedi is daughter of Dr. Prem Kumar Bedi and Shakuntala and was born on January 18, 1975 in a village named Chabbewal in the district Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Her parents migrated to Norway when she was 10 months old. They run a garment store in Norway. She has a brother (Bobby Bedi). She went to school in Norway. Monica returned to India from Norway at the age of 18 and entered Bollywood.
Bedi started her career with Suraksha in 1995.

On 17 August 2008 (telecast date), Bedi was ushered into the Bigg Boss (Season 2) as one of the 14 contestants in the second season of the Indian version of Big Brother. she was evicted from bigg boss house on 5 September (telecast date)

Monica paired with Javed Sanadi, she was eliminated in round 6 although her improvement was highly appreciated by the judges and she regarded the show as a new beginning of her life and career.
